I am a project collaborator in the EU project NUNATARYUK - Permafrost thaw and the changing Arctic coast, science for socioeconomic adaptation (https://nunataryuk.org/) and a PhD candidate at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna. My PhD project, which is supervised by Prof. Peter Schweitzer, examines the societal impacts of and responses to climate change and permafrost thaw in Longyearbyen, Svalbard / Spitsbergen in the high Arctic. I completed my BA and MA at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna, prior to which I studied philosophy for one year in Salamanca, Spain.

Currently, I am also the secretary of the Austrian Polar Research Institute (APRI, www.polarresearch.at/).
