Short Biography

Nana Iashvili holds an MA degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology from Central European University in Vienna and a BA in Economics and Politics from Bard College Berlin, Germany. In the MA research project, she examined the historical and socio-economic transformation of the post-socialist Tbilisi.

In her current work, Nana is focusing on the housing-debt nexus in Georgia, looking at the mechanisms and practices of housing financialization in the country and the consequences these processes have on people’s lives.
