Kurzbiographie
Suzana Jovicic studierte Psychologische und Psychiatrische Anthropologie (MSc) an der Brunel University in London und promovierte als DOC-Team-Stipendiatin der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften in Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie an der Universität Wien. Für ihre Dissertation "Scrolling, Swiping, Snapping: In-between Smartphone Practices & the Politics of Doing Nothing among Youths on the Margins of Vienna" erhielt sie den sowi:doc Award der Universität Wien. Ihre Forschungs- und Lehraufträge waren an der UCL, James Cook University Singapur, RMIT, Monash University, Maynooth University und Universität zu Köln. Sie arbeitete in interdisziplinären Projekten bei CSLEARN Educational Technologies und Computational Empowerment Lab an der Universität Wien und war Post-DocTrack Fellow der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften.
Derzeit arbeitet sie als Lektorin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie der Universität Wien. Sie ist PI des ESPRIT (FWF) Projekts "Smartphone Addiction" und des Projekts Dreamscapes (FWF Science Communication). Ab Juni 2026 tritt sie die Assistenzprofessur für Digitale Anthropologie an.
