Kurzbiographie

Jasamin Kashanipour ist seit 2018 Lehrbeauftragte am Institut für Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie der Universität Wien. Ihre Promotion im Fach Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie absolvierte sie 2016 an derselben Universität. Zuvor studierte sie Erziehungswissenschaft im Masterstudium an der State University of New York in Buffalo (NY, USA) sowie Reine Mathematik im Bachelorstudium an der Teacher Training University in Teheran (Iran).

Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen in den Bereichen Körper-, Kunst-, Landschafts- und Bildungsanthropologie sowie der Visuellen Kultur. Ein besonderes Augenmerk legt sie auf künstlerische Praktiken und Ausdrucksformen in unterschiedlichen Kontexten und Lebenswelten. Sie beschäftigt sich intensiv mit kunstaffinen und experimentellen Forschungsmethoden, insbesondere Ethnographie sowie kreativen Formen ethnographischer Praxis und Darstellung. In ihren Feldforschungen experimentiert sie unter anderem mit dem Zeichnen und entwickelt Ansätze und Konzepte, wie diese Praxis als Form ethnographischer Beschreibung eingesetzt werden kann.

Im Rahmen ihrer Habilitation mit dem Titel „Homo ludens im Hörsaal: Möglichkeiten und Grenzen kreativer Hochschuldidaktik in der Vermittlung sozialwissenschaftlicher Theorien und Methoden“ erforscht sie alternative Formen der Lehre. Als Anthropologin und ausgebildete Erziehungswissenschaftlerin untersucht sie darin spielerische und dramaturgische Ansätze kreativer Hochschuldidaktik in der KSA. Diese Konzepte kommen auch in ihren Lehrveranstaltungen zur Anwendung, die zugleich das zentrale empirische Feld ihrer Habilitationsforschung bilden.
