February 2025 | Fieldwork and Workshop

On February, 17-26 Olga Povoroznyuk conducted fieldwork about the role of green spaces, natural landscapes and ecological knowledge in climate adaptation in the Sør-Varanger Municipality in Norway. As part of the fieldwork, she organized a community workshop that gathered local residents and stakeholders to discuss the value of green spaces and relations with nature. Together with Peter Schweitzer, they also presented results of InfraNorth future scenario workshops and previous research in the area. The workshop took place in Kirkenes in the frameworks of the regional festival “Barents Spectacle”.
