Short Biography

Studies in Cultural and Social Anthropology (with distinction) and a combination of courses (Arabic Studies, Turkology and Political Science) at the University of Vienna. Since 2001 researcher at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (since 2014 member of the Phonogrammarchiv). Director of the FWF-Stand-Alone-Project P28736 Death & Life: Local Conceptions of Reincarnation among the Druzes in the Middle East. Lecturer at the Department of Cultural and Social Anthropology at the University of Vienna, at the University College of Teacher Education, Vienna (PH Wien), and at the Academy of Austrian Psychotherapists (VÖPP).
