During the 2024 „Cancer Mission Ideas Lab“ of the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft Open Innovation in Science Center, Lisa Lehner and partners at the Medical University of Vienna, University of Applied Sciences Campus Wien, aks Gesundheit (Vorarlberg), AmberMed and Gesundheit Österreich GmbH (GÖG) won one of three research grants (EUR 500.000 each).
In the funded project, the team will work on participatory basic research and develop outreach care programs for people who have experiences with cancer and their networks, and who are traditionally “underserved” (people who experience homelessness, people who have no health insurance in Austria, people who experience mental ill-health, illegalized migrants, etc.).
The project, a part of which will take place through the University of Vienna, will run from 2025-2027.
