Kurzbiographie

Sanda Üllen ist Kultur- und Sozialanthropologin und arbeitet als Lektorin am Institut für Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie an der Universität Wien. Der Forschungsschwerpunkt ihrer Arbeit liegt im Bereich der Migrations- und Erinnerungsforschung mit der regionalen Fokussierung auf den Westbalkan, sowie Skandinavien. Neben der Lehrtätigkeit hat sie an diversen Projekten mitgearbeitet („Migration(en) im Schulbuch“ am Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für europäische Geschichte und Öffentlichkeit“ 2011-2013; „Familiy migration and integration“ am ICMPD 2013; EU NODE - Projekt „Contesting Multiculturalism. Gender Equality, Cultural Diversity and Sexual Autonomy am Institut für Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie 2007). 2016 war sie „Visiting Fellow“ am Zentrum für Südosteuropaforschung an der Universität Graz. Sie hat 2017 ihre Dissertation mit dem Titel „Zuhause Erinnern? Transnationale Familien und die Ambivalenzen des Erinnerns im bosnisch-herzegowinischen Nachkriegskontext“ beendet.
